Paul paints a wide variety of subject matter, including Landscapes, seascapes, Still Life, Floral and Wildlife.

Born in 1969 in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, Paul has been painting and drawing from an early age.

  My paintings are the result of many years studying the beautiful scenery that we have in abundance in the U.K. I have found watercolour to be my prefered medium to capture the ever changing mood and atmosphere of the places that I have been privileged enough to live in and visit.

The beauty of the Pennine landscap where Paul works and lives, particularly the wind swept moors, begs to be painted, He spends as much time as he can outdoors, sketching and taking reference photos.

  Although there can be a great amount of detail in some of my wildlife work, some of my landscapes can be very loose and leave the viewer to fill in the gaps with their imagination.

Paul studied at Halifax College and also at Dewsbury and Batley Art College, specialising in graphic design. After which he ran his own company in Graphic Design, until 2007 when he became a full time professional artist, concentrating in watercolour, and developed his own style.

He has exhibited widely since his first exhibition in 2007 and his paintings are in many collections in this country and abroad. Paul has regular exhibitons and has had a large number of images published.

Paul's watercolor paintings have earned him a number of ‘highly commended’ awards both nationally and Internationally.

Paul has an Exhibition running at the moment at the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield They are mainly of his
Wildlife Paintings.

This is a painting i have just completed of some fishing boats in Porthleven Harbour, Cornwall.

I have Just completed this painting of Eilean Donan Castle in Scotland, with Highland Cattle taking a drink at the edge of the Loch. Situated at the meeting point of three sea lochs on the west coast of Scotland, Eilean Donan is situated by the picturesque village of Dornie on the main tourist route to the Isle of Skye.

Another small sketch I have just completed is this one of a beach scene at Kynance Cove in Cornwall.
